Le code forestier et les textes d'application promulgués par la loi n°66-60 du 4 juillet 1966 et la loi n°88-20 du 13 avril 1988, portant refonte de ce code, stipulant que le patrimoine forestier est une richesse nationale, que sa protection et son développement constituent une exigence fondamentale de la politique nationale de développement économique et social et qu'il est du devoir de tout citoyen de contribuer à son extension, à sa sauvegarde.

The Forest Code and regulatory texts for its application and partial modifications, such as the law 66/60 of the 4^th July 1966 and the law 88/20 of the 13^rd April 1988; in the latter, it is confirmed that the forest patrimony is a national wealth, whose protection and development constitute fundamental aspects of the national policy on economic and social development and that every citizen has to contribute to the development and protection of it.
